Dog Trumpet Releases New Single "Waltz Of The Wind"
Dog Trumpet, the project of brothers Peter O'Doherty and Reg Mombassa, has released a new single, "Waltz Of The Wind", from their album Live Forever.
The song captures the timeless melancholy and melodic warmth that have defined the band for over three decades, with understated poetry, luminous melodies, and the bittersweet interplay of nostalgia and imagination.
"It's a wistful, sad song about a past love affair,"
said Peter O'Doherty, who has carried the song with him for years after first hearing it on a mixtape from Sydney musician and author Peter Doyle.
The song was originally written and recorded by New Zealand's Windy City Strugglers.
