Nabholz Construction has broken ground on a new fire station, training facility, and bowling alley in Sedalia, Missouri.
The facilities were designed by Hoefer Welker. The fire station will span 8,585 square feet, replacing the previous facility, and will feature a three-bay fire apparatus facility, six bunk rooms, a dayroom, and a fitness room.
The station will incorporate a hot zone design approach to minimize firefighters' exposure to smoke, carcinogens, and toxic chemicals. Additional features include a dedicated gear decontamination area and advanced air pressurization and thermal comfort systems.
