A Red Flag warning has been issued for most of the Eastern Plains and the Front Range in Colorado due to high winds and low humidity levels.
The National Weather Service warns that wind gusts can reach up to 60 miles per hour, creating extremely favorable conditions for wildfires to ignite and spread quickly.
Russell Dannielson, a meteorologist with the NWS in Boulder, notes that this is the first Red Flag Warning issued this month.
