The UConn women's basketball team will no longer open the 2025-26 season at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany due to the government shutdown.
Instead, the Huskies will face Louisville at the U.S. Naval Academy's Alumni Hall in Annapolis, Maryland, on November 4 with a 5:30 p.m. tipoff on ESPN.
No statement from the teams or ESPN Events regarding the reason for the relocation was provided, other than it being due to the government shutdown.
The game will still be part of ESPN Events' annual America's Heroes: Salute to Veteran's initiative around Veteran's Day.
