The BYD Atto 2 will soon have a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant, confirmed by the Chinese carmaker.
Powered by "Super Hybrid with DM technology", the new BYD Atto 2 DM-i will arrive in Europe in the first quarter of 2026.
Details are scarce, but BYD says it'll be offered in two variants with different battery sizes, driving ranges, power outputs, and performance.
The DM-i system, which stands for Dual Mode-intelligent, will automatically choose the most appropriate hybrid modes on longer journeys to eke out more range.
