Parents slam show for teens featuring simulated donkey sex, murder and drugs

Parents Condemn Festival Show for Teens

Parents Watch Education (PWE), a group established by parents in Glasgow, has criticized a festival show aimed at teenagers as young as 14 for featuring simulated donkey sex, murder, and drugs.

The show, part of the Take Me Somewhere festival, is being screened at the Tramway arts venue in Glasgow and is described as a mix of "Animal Farm meets Pokemon meets Final Fantasy."

The assess.masses website states the show "features coarse language, simulated sex between donkeys, simulated violence and murder and strong revolutionary rhetoric."

Take Me Somewhere artistic director LJ Findlay-Walsh promoted the show on social media as "something cool yet cultural" for teens, recommending it for ages 14+.

A PWE spokesman expressed concerns over the show, stating: "There's no mention in the posting of being accompanied by a parent/guardian. Massive red flags regarding safeguarding of vulnerable children."

Author's summary: Parents slam teen show for explicit content.
