HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and HII Collaborate on Shipbuilding
HII and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, leading shipbuilders, signed a memorandum of agreement to collaborate on distributed shipbuilding and team up on auxiliary and commercial vessels.
The agreement was signed at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2025 forum in GYEONGJU, South Korea, with attendees including Joo Won-ho, president of HHI's Naval & Special Ship Business Unit, and Eric Chewning, HII's executive vice president.
"This marks the beginning of deeper collaboration between not only our companies, but each of our countries, that will support enduring changes to military and commercial shipbuilding in America,"
said Eric Chewning.
