Researchers found that off-season respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) episodes occur across the United States and may be more common among certain demographic groups and pediatric patients with congenital or chronic conditions.

According to study results published in Open Forum Infectious Diseases.

The study analyzed patients diagnosed with RSV infection in the pre-COVID-19 era (2017-2020), capturing data on patient demographic and baseline clinical characteristics, as well as comorbidities associated with increased risk for severe disease.
