The Michigan Military Technical and Historical Society Museum, located on Stephens Road, has a rich history dating back to its origins as a neighborhood ice rink.
According to Wendy Richardson, Military Museum CFO,

The building, initially constructed as a teen center after World War II, now serves as the Military Museum and celebrates its 70th anniversary this year.
Richardson will present
“From Teen Center to Military Museum, The Story of our Building,”at 2 p.m. on Nov. 9, showcasing the property's transformation over the years, including its time as a temporary City Hall.
