Nathan McSweeney has scored his first Sheffield Shield century for South Australia, giving his team hope for a win against Western Australia.
McSweeney's 103, along with Henry Hunt's 84, helped South Australia reach 4-297 at stumps on day three, leading Western Australia by 205 runs.
McSweeney has been solid without being spectacular after being dropped following his third Test in December.
South Australia is eyeing the chance to set a fourth-innings target at the WACA on Friday.
