Optical Vendor Ribbon Suffers Cybersecurity Incident
Telcos worldwide are experiencing cyberbreaches, but vendors are also being targeted.
Ribbon Communications, an optical system vendor, recently fell victim to a cybersecurity incident. In its 10-Q filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the vendor admitted to being hacked by "unauthorized persons, reportedly associated with a nation-state actor," believed to be a reference to China.
