Funding for Carrigart to Downings Walkway
Donegal County Council has been allocated €500,000 to complete the walkway between Carrigart and Downings under the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS).
The funding is for strategic repair and maintenance of existing facilities, as well as the development of new recreational infrastructure.
“This is excellent news for the Carrigart and Downings and will be a huge boost for the area which is one of the busiest tourist spots in Donegal.”
This project is one of 63 that will benefit from the overall investment of €16.5 million.
