The East LA Classic, a rivalry between Roosevelt High School and Garfield High School since 1953, took place at East Los Angeles College in Monterey Park.
This was an intense display of sheer athletic ability fueled by a long-tenured generational pride from both sides representing a historic lineage of sportsmanship in the East L.A. Latino community.
