Acclaimed artist Wendy Red Star (Apsáalooke [Crow]) will bring her powerful perspective to Dickinson College.
Her work, such as The Last Thanks (2006), will be featured in an exhibition at the Trout Gallery, coinciding with the award ceremony for the Dickinson College Arts Award, which she is the first Indigenous artist to receive.
Red Star's achievements include a Louis Comfort Tiffany Award, a Smithsonian Artist Research Fellowship (2018), and an Anonymous Was a Woman Grant (2022), as well as being named a MacArthur Fellow in 2024.
