Netflix Unveils Voice Cast and First Look of Stranger Things: Tales from '85
Netflix has revealed the voice cast and shared a teaser for Stranger Things: Tales from '85, an animated series based on the popular show Stranger Things. The series is scheduled to premiere in 2026.
Celebrating Stranger Things Day
Fans of the sci-fi hit are marking Stranger Things Day, commemorating the day Will Byers disappeared in Hawkins, Indiana (November 6, 1983). In honor of this day, Netflix announced the voice actors who bring the beloved characters to life in their animated forms.

Creators’ Insights on the Animated Series
“When we thought about expanding the universe, creating an animated series was one of our first ideas,” said Matt Duffer.
Matt Duffer added, “The idea was kind of to evoke a feeling of an ’80s cartoon.”
Ross Duffer noted that animation gave them “no limits,” allowing the storytellers to “go wild.”
