Discover an extraordinary world during the Mycéliades science fiction festival, taking place in several cinemas and media libraries across Île-de-France from January 31 to February 15, 2026. The festival embraces the theme of resilience through a diverse program.
Across France, nearly 160 pairs of cinemas and media libraries will host screenings, talks, and creative workshops dedicated to science fiction. Visitors can attend film showings, escape games, conferences, and interactive sessions with science communicators and online creators.
The 2026 edition centers on resilience, exploring ways humanity adapts to climate, energy, and food challenges through cinema, literature, video games, and comics. The program will also examine how these themes appear in pop culture and collective imagination.
"It's an opportunity to try to avoid the end of the world together, reflect on the creation of habitable worlds, and face crises during this festival."
The festival will feature both classic and contemporary films such as Train to Busan, Flow, Oblivion, Snowpiercer, Mad Max, and Nausicaä.
Program details will be published soon on the official event website.
The Mycéliades 2026 festival invites audiences to explore the concept of resilience through science fiction films, workshops, and cultural encounters across France.
