Israel Has ‘Effectively Barred’ Relief to Gaza, Say Aid Groups - Clarion India

Israel Restricts Aid to Gaza Despite Ceasefire

GAZA — Although a ceasefire has been in place, Israel has permitted only around 100 aid trucks to enter the Gaza Strip daily. Humanitarian groups confirm that they remain “effectively barred” from delivering crucial assistance to the war-torn region.

Aid Delivery Statistics

Between the ceasefire’s start on October 10 and November 6, Israel allowed only 4,453 out of the 15,600 trucks scheduled to enter Gaza, according to the Gaza Government Media Office. This represents just 28% of the promised aid.

The daily average of aid trucks entering Gaza stands at 171, which is significantly below the 600 trucks per day agreed upon in the humanitarian protocol.

“This highlights that the occupation continues to impose a policy of deprivation and political pressure on more than 2.4 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.”

Restrictions on Essential Goods

Israel is reportedly denying entry of more than 350 essential food items necessary for children, the sick, wounded, and other vulnerable groups in Gaza. This is seen as part of a policy aimed at starving the civilian population.

Summary

Despite agreements, Israel’s limited allowance of aid trucks severely restricts humanitarian relief, continuing a policy that deprives Gaza’s civilians of vital supplies.
