During the Lakers’ game against the Spurs on Wednesday night, Luka Dončić demonstrated his remarkable playmaking skills with a flashy full-court pass to Rui Hachimura.
Dončić tried to catch the San Antonio defense off guard with a long pass to Hachimura near the basket. Although Hachimura was fouled going up for a layup and missed the shot, Dončić clearly showed his frustration. He looked at his teammate in disbelief and even pretended to shout at him, before breaking into a friendly smile.
“Luka was less than thrilled to have been denied an assist on the play.”
Hachimura redeemed himself quickly on a subsequent play. After being double-teamed along the baseline, Dončić launched a no-look, one-arm pass over his shoulder to an open Hachimura, who nailed a three-pointer.
“That assist was one of seven Dončić recorded in the first half, alongside 22 points and six rebounds.”
