Mirren, aged 80, will receive the award on January 8, just three days before the main Golden Globes event, during a ceremony called the “Golden Eve.” This event will also present the Carol Burnett Award for television, with the current recipient yet to be announced. Last year's honorees were Viola Davis and Ted Danson.
