Toronto Powers Up 500 EV Chargers in Push for Electric Future

The Toronto Parking Authority (TPA) and Toronto Hydro have reached a significant milestone by energizing the 500th public electric vehicle (EV) charging station in Canada’s largest municipally owned EV charging network. This latest charger is located at Green P Carpark 504 on Willingdon Blvd., enhancing access to EV charging across the city.

Expansion of EV Charging Infrastructure

Since 2020, Toronto Hydro and TPA have partnered to grow the city's EV charging infrastructure. Toronto Hydro initially launched the network of chargers before transferring ownership to TPA in 2023.

“Reaching 500 energized EV charging stations is a testament to what strong partnerships can achieve,” said Jana Mosley, President & CEO of Toronto Hydro.

Scott Collier, President of TPA, highlighted that expanding the network is key to improving access and encouraging EV adoption.
