Actor, comedian, and philanthropist Tiffany Haddish is heading to Africa with three of her childhood friends in the upcoming Peacock docuseries Tiffany Haddish Goes Off.
When Haddish arrives for the interview, she’s greeted with the usual, “Hi, Tiffany, how are you?” She smiles and replies, “Successful. How are you?” Her confidence sets the tone immediately.
“You woke up today, so you’re winning. I’m looking at that success.”
The new series, premiering November 13, follows Haddish and three of her closest friends as they embark on a month-long adventure across South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Tanzania. The journey is part heartfelt exploration, part reflection of her hit film Girls Trip, and entirely her own story.
Audiences first fell in love with Haddish as the wild and hilarious Dina in the 2017 blockbuster Girls Trip alongside Regina Hall, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Queen Latifah. Though people often merge the character with the woman, Tiffany’s real-life depth extends far beyond the comedic screen persona.
Readers of her bestselling 2017 memoir The Last Black Unicorn already know about her resilience and big heart. She’s earned the first two letters of an EGOT and continues giving back through her She Ready Foundation, supporting children in foster care. Now, a wider audience will see more of who she truly is.
Author’s Summary: Tiffany Haddish’s new docuseries blends laughter, friendship, and purpose as she reconnects with her roots in Africa while shining a light on her authentic, confident spirit.
