The Golden Globes announced on Wednesday that Dame Helen Mirren will be honored with the 2026 Cecil B. DeMille Award.
The actress and producer will receive the award during "Golden Eve," a new annual primetime special. This event will recognize recipients of both the Cecil B. DeMille and Carol Burnett Awards. "Golden Eve" is set to feature extended interviews and retrospectives of the honorees' careers, celebrating individuals in both film and television for their remarkable contributions on and off the screen.
The Cecil B. DeMille Award was established in 1952 to honor the legendary filmmaker. Since its inception, 69 individuals have received the distinction, including:
"Golden Eve will feature in-depth interviews and career retrospectives for the recipients of the two special awards, honoring people from the movie (DeMille) and TV (Burnett) business who have made lasting contributions on and off screen."
