Craig Melvin Admits to Never Watching Jenna Bush Hager's 'Today' Hour as Guest Host
On Monday, November 3, Craig Melvin guest-hosted Today with Jenna & Friends for the first time, confessing he had never watched the show before. Melvin, co-anchor of Today who replaced Hoda Kotb in January, was seated alongside regular host Jenna Bush Hager.
Upon arriving, Melvin commented on the set, saying, “This is a nice set,” then added, “You know, I’ve never seen the show.”
Jenna Bush Hager responded, “That is so rude!”
Melvin explained his absence from the fourth hour of Today was due to logistics, saying, “Well, because we’re just getting off.”
However, Bush Hager pressed on, asking producers, “Did you just hear him say he’s never watched the show?”
Melvin clarified, “No, because I’m usually in transit, but this is nice.”
Still, Bush Hager pointed out, “Here’s the thing about it. It’s a full hour.” Melvin admitted, “I know, I could probably watch some of it.”
